We look forward to welcoming you to our booth at ARCO Madrid where we will be showing works by Miquel Barceló, Georg Baselitz, Oliver Beer, Tony Cragg, Jules de Balincourt, Antony Gormley, Donald Judd, Alex Katz, Imi Knoebel, Robert Mapplethorpe, Jack Pierson, Robert Rauschenberg, David Salle and Emilio Vedova.

Presented at the booth: Miquel Barceló’s La Miranda Nutritiva (1984) is presented at the booth, a seminal work from the mid-1980s, the prolific period which saw the Spanish artist gain international renown. The rich, relief-like texture and pictorial procedures strategies in in this still-life are testament to the artist’s continued engagement with the tradition of classical painting.

Georg Baselitz Oh, Frau Kraut, oh (2019) depicts Elke, his wife and muse of nearly sixty years. The combination of grace and severity in this new painting represents a renewed declaration of love, and an intimate reflection on the inevitability of ageing and the function of portraiture.

| Imi Knoebel’s unique pastel, shaped canvas in Figura Ny (2019) combines elements borrowed from art and architecture in an ongoing investigation into the relationship between colour, form and material. | Robert Rauschenberg began exploring the possibilities of metal in the mid-1980s and in Bumper Slip Late Summer Glut (1987), discarded gas-station signs, automotive and industrial parts salvaged from scrapyards have been invested with new meaning as a sculptural artwork. | Donald Judd's untitled (1991) is a late example of the artist’s wall-based works, demonstrating the artist's continued engagement with the formal potentiality of colour towards the end of his career.
