The exhibition includes over 23 selected works from the photographic oeuvre of Mona Kuhn who is one of the most important female contemporary photographer today and best known for her large-scale photographs of the human form and essence. The exhibition is dedicated to a core theme of Kuhn's artistic work, which she dealt with from the very beginning of her career: the human body — in its natural state while simultaneously re-interpreting the nude as a contemporary canon of art.
»I'm most comfortable representing the nude as minimal and timeless. I like to cherish the body as a source of inspiration, as a platform for metaphors, for intimacy and complexities of human nature. It is my way of investigating the deepest questions about life.«
