Christie’s Private Sales is delighted to present Story of Art and Time, a cross category selling exhibition taking place at our Bangkok office, from 18 March to 17 May. Story of Art and Time gathers together a beautiful array of Modern & Contemporary Art alongside a collection of impressive watches. In every stroke, hue, and composition, art intertwines with time, reminding us of the inherent beauty in the passage of time itself.

Time has long been a source of inspiration for artists, and watchmaking is certainly an art in itself. Story of Art and Time brings artworks like Sriwan Janehuttakarnkit’s image of skeletons – a memento mori often seen in the canon of art history, alongside watches demonstrating the juxtaposition of the still canvas on the wall with the ceaseless march of time.

This exhibition features works by Modern & Contemporary Thai artists Sriwan Janehuttakarnkit, Mit Jai Inn, Thawan Duchanee and Natee Utarit, in conjunction with the world’s famous watch makers such as Patek Philippe, F. P. Journe, A. Lange & Sohne, Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille and many more. This exhibition will delight and enchant buyers and collectors, and allow them to experience time metaphorically and literally.
