Hilger modern/contemporary is proud to announce its continued participation in the seventh edition of PULSE Miami December 1 - 4, 2011.

Hilger modern/contemporary is one of the leading galleries in Vienna & in Europe whose contributions towards the growth and development of galleries has been most influential, and has been contributing structural and ethical guidelines to the international gallery scene over the last four decades (2011 – 40 Years of Gallery Ernst Hilger). The last 15 years the activities of the gallery together with curators like Shaheen MERALI, Claire BREUKEL, Diana WIEGERSMA, Maria VASSILEVA, Alenka GREGORIC; Jeanette ZWINGENBERGER; Lucie DRDOVA, Nicolas SCHAFFHAUSEN and others, expanded towards new emerging art and markets like Iran, Africa and South America.

Building substantial renown as promoter, collector and representative of new artists. Hilger contemporary assembles those positions and gives the artists from those cutting edge countries a platform. The gallery’s labor has been honored over the last 10 years through the participations of its artists in international important exhibitions and biennales (for instance: 54. Biennale di Venezia – Collateral Event – Anastasia Khoroshilova).

Hilger modern on the other hand reflects the long history of the gallery. The main protagonists of the important art movements from the 20th century, starting with PICASSO and DUBUFFET up to the Pop art (WARHOL, HARING) and the Figuration Narrative (MONORY) are the agenda. The past has a future and with artists like ERRÓ, Jean Jacques LEBEL, Jiri KOLAR as substantial area of responsibility the gallery can take a step further and show artists like Damien HIRST with works on paper - a special place will always be reserved for Austrian Moderns beginning with the 60ies.

We would be happy to welcome you at our BOOTH A-200 (situated right next to the entrance) at PULSE MIAMI 2011.
