SOTHEBY’S HONG KONG AUTUMN SALES 2017 | 29 SEPTEMBER – 3 OCTOBER Series Grand Total: HK$3.15 Billion / US$404 Million (Est. HK$2.4 Billion / US$309 Million) Combined Sell-through Rate: 86%

“I’m delighted with the results of the week’s sales, and that the combined total of our major spring and autumn Hong Kong auctions is our highest since 2014. We saw extremely competitive bidding from across Asia, especially from Mainland China,” said Kevin Ching, CEO of Sotheby’s Asia. “Over five days of highly curated sales, we established sixteen world auction records, including the highest price ever paid for a piece of Chinese ceramics. I am also pleased that our exhibition of The MQJ Collection, perhaps the best collection of Chinese Ming furniture in the world, attracted thousands of visitors.” Mr. Ching continued, “Having completed our major sales, we now look forward to welcoming clients throughout the autumn for our mid-season auctions.”
