Our thanks to all who came out last weekend to the NY Art Book Fair at MoMA PS1! We were thrilled to welcome 369 exhibiting artists — 135 international exhibitors from more than 30 countries, and more than 50 first-time participants — including small press publishers, artists, collectives, institutions, galleries, antiquarian booksellers, distributors, and more.

This year's fair featured special programs and exhibitions including a survey of Graphzine, project spaces by Ryan Gander, Warren Neidich, and Taryn Simon, and a workshop series presented with Endless Editions. The Classroom participants included: Iñaki Bonillas, Leidy Churchman, Akwaeke Emezi, Tiona Nekkia McClodden, Michael Stipe, and Carmen Winant, among many others. The Contemporary Artists' Books Conference featured a keynote address by artist Adam Pendleton and the Friendly Fire section of the fair featured 8-Ball Community, Gato Negro Ediciones, Hardworking Goodlooking, Visual AIDS, and World War 3 Illustrated, among others.

Special thanks to Lucas Blalock, Suellen Rocca and Christine Sun Kim who produced this year's Fair Fundraising Editions. Works from Blalock and Rocca are still available (here and here), and copies of this year's Fair ticket edition, sorry zero, sorry not sorry by Christine Sun Kim, will be available for in-store purchase, pick up, and shipping after Oct 1 (order here).

We will be announcing dates and opening exhibitor applications for the 2020 LA Art Book Fair soon!

Thank you to 2019 NYABF supporters Cargo, die Keure, David Schulman and Shapco Printing, Inc., Blank Forms, Kayrock Screenprinting, Mina’s, Hyperallergic, and our other partners and in-kind sponsors.

Printed Matter would like to extend deep gratitude to Kate Fowle, Peter Eleey, Jose Ortiz, Michael Henry, Richard Wilson, Amber Sasse, Ryan Collins, Molly Kurzius, and the entire dedicated staff of MoMA PS1 who helped to make the event a success.
