(HUNTINGTON, NY)— The Spirit of Huntington Art Center is pleased to present ArtABILITY ‘23: an Inclusive Exhibition Celebrating Artists with differing abilities at the world-famous Agora Gallery, a contemporary fine art gallery located in the heart of Chelsea’s Arts District in New York City. The exhibition will be on view from January 3, 2023 to January 24, 2023 with an opening reception on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 6:00pm. to 8:00pm. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

ArtABILITY ‘23 is a traveling art exhibition organized by the Spirit of Huntington Art Center that showcases the talents of individuals on Long Island with differing abilities. Its purpose is to educate the community about the remarkable talents of this population, to inspire people to reach beyond their limitations to explore their own creativity, and to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in the arts.

Spirit of Huntington offers art classes that provide a unique opportunity for students to enjoy a stress free, therapeutic environment that fosters creativity and self-esteem. ArtABILITY ‘23 celebrates the accomplishments of the artists and the many non-profit partner organizations that support their day-to-day lives and who believe in the impact the arts can have on individuals with varying abilities. These partner organizations include: ACLD, AHRC Suffolk, Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau, FREE- Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Life’s WORC, RISE Life Services, South Huntington School District, Winters Center for Autism, SYJCC-Butler Center, and the Mid-Island YJCC-Adler Center for Special Needs.

This exhibit is made possible by the support of: TD Charitable Foundation, RISE Life Services, FREE- Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Life’s WORC, and Winters Center for Autism.
