Join us April 21-24, 2022 for the 62nd Annual ABAA New York International Antiquarian Book Fair!

The New York Book Fair features over 180 exhibitors, bringing a vast treasure trove of material to the historic Park Avenue Armory: rare books, maps, illuminated manuscripts, incunabula, fine bindings, illustrations, historical documents, rare prints and print ephemera, and so much more.

Don't miss this favorite tradition, Discovery Day on Sunday, April 24th from 1pm - 3pm. Discovery Day gives ticketed visitors the opportunity to bring in their own rare books, manuscripts, maps, etc. (up to 5 items) to be examined by our panel of exhibitors who will offer expert advice and verbal appraisals. So plan to bring in your treasures - we want to see them!

Exhibitor HighlightsF. Scott FitzgeraldThe Great Gatsby, 1925. A first edition, first printing, first state of the text, in the first issue dust jacket, a stupendous example, untouched by restoration or repair.

The iconic jacket was designed by Francis Cugat. Charles Scribner III ("Celestial Eyes - from Metamorphosis to Masterpiece") argues that not only is the jacket recognized as the most eloquent in American literary history, but that Cugat's artwork demonstrably had an effect on Fitzgerald's evolution of his literary masterpiece, as the author responded to sketches and artwork shown to him before the book was complete, a perhaps unique occurrence in literary history.Courtesy of Peter Harrington
