We are delighted to kick off our new campaign with the first of what we hope will be a annual series of artist collaborations. The inaugural artist is Abigail Hunt. After the first 5 editions of incorporating photogram elements of the Fair's identity into our annual campaigns, we plan to continue this photographic exploration of its own identity, while also putting an exceptional artist into the spotlight.

Each year during the Fair, one artist that has a strong conceptual outlook on the medium of photography, will be selected to create the campaign imagery for the next edition.

Fair Director Roderick van der Lee said ‘we are excited to begin our collaborative programme working with Abigail Hunt, who was shown at this year’s Fair by Sid Motion Gallery in the Discovery section.’

Abigail's artistic practice and sculptural approach to creating photographic collages is based on found objects and images, which through investigation, deconstruction and play transform from the readymade into delicate constructions.

As a gateway between the past and future of Photo London, Abigail's collages are made with the photographic images taken from past Photo London catalogues.

The first example of this new collaboration will be shown in the Financial Times’ special Frieze Supplement this weekend.
