PUBLIC GUIDED TOURSDiscover hidden art gems that you might not spot at first glance, as well as meeting artists and gallerists, and listen to the stories behind the artworks. Join one of our free public guided tours, everyday at 3pm. Simply go to the meeting place at our Information Desk, to explore art in more detail.

CURATOR-LED GUIDED TOURSAdditionally, there will be two themed, curator-led guided tours. Join us on Friday 12 April at 4pm for “Emerging Artists” with Fair Manager Hannah Weber-Heidenfels and on the same day at 5pm for “Kunst unter €500” with Fair Director Oliver Lähndorf.

COLLECTORS TALKJoin us as well for our Collectors Talk this year on Sunday 14 April 2024 at 1pm at the bar.

Dr. Anna Schwan and Kolja Reichert, former art critic of FAZ and now program curator at Bundeskunsthalle, will be talking about his new book “Kann ich das auch?”, which aims to explain art in a very simple way. In his book he answered 50 questions that one could ask about art even without the knowledge of an expert.

EMERGING ARTISTSInitiated in 2012 by Fair Director Oliver Lähndorf, the annual Emerging Artists exhibition at Affordable Art Fair has given a curated platform to new talents who haven’t been represented by a gallery at the time.

Looking back at the last 12 years of this exhibition series at the Fair in Hamburg, the visibility generated by the Emerging Artist exhibitions has been integral in supporting and pushing artist’s careers within the difficult starting conditions of the art world.

The first edition of the Emerging Artists exhibition in Berlin addresses the topic “Spannungsverhältnisse” and will be curated by Fair Manager Hannah Weber-Heidenfels, showing 4 different artistic positions of artists which have an artistic focus in Berlin.

Participating artists this year are Jana Schumacher, Jonas Büßecker, Nina Kuttler and Viktor Petrov.
